Autocar Exhibits New Xspotter Terminal Tractor at Waste Expo
Atlanta, GA - Autocar, the first name in American commercial trucks and the industry
leader in alternative fuel severe-service Class 8 trucks, is showing two trucks in booth
#4375 at Waste Expo. Held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta this year
with exhibits open May 4, 5 and 6, Waste Expo is North America’s largest solid waste and
recycling tradeshow serving both the private and public sectors.
On display at the Autocar exhibit is the newest addition to the Autocar family, the Xspotter
terminal tractor. Available with diesel, natural gas or zero emissions lithium-ion battery
power, the Xspotter is a natural choice for energy and emissions-conscious waste and
recycling transfer stations, terminal operations, rail yards and port facilities.
Terminal tractors, also known as yard tractors and trailer spotters, are commonly used to
move waste transfer trailers and intermodal containers from spot to spot in special
applications. Yard tractors often operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in
unforgiving and demanding conditions. Today’s yard tractor owners and operators
demand modern equipment with alternative fuel solutions which reduce harmful emissions.
