Autocar Trucks, in collaboration with General Motors, is proud to announce the launch of the DC-64 Tractor, a hydrogen fuel cell truck custom-designed for severe-duty applications, at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo 2025 in Anaheim, California.
This groundbreaking vehicle, powered by GM’s HYDROTEC fuel cell technology and designed in partnership with Triz Engineering, delivers zero tailpipe emissions, exceptional range, and rapid refueling.
A Milestone in Alternative Energy Innovation
Autocar’s DC-64 Hydrogen Fuel Cell Tractor is a result of a collaboration between Autocar and GM, aimed at accelerating the adoption of zero tailpipe-emission vocational vehicles.
GM’s HYDROTEC power cubes offer a powerful alternative to traditional diesel engines and battery electric vehicles, with benefits including:
By incorporating HYDROTEC technology, Autocar’s custom-built DC-64 Tractor will combine reliability and performance with a fuel source whose only emission is water vapor.
“This vehicle is a testament to our dedication to innovation and sustainability, and we believe it will set a new standard for the industry,” said Andrew Taitz, Chairman at Autocar Trucks.
See It Live at ACT Expo
The DC-64 Tractor will be on display from April 28 to May 1, 2025, in Anaheim, California, at North America’s largest advanced commercial vehicle technology show showcasing economic and environmental fleet sustainability.
Attendees can explore the vehicle up close and learn more about its cutting-edge technology and practical severe-duty applications, ranging from refuse collection to concrete mixing, heavy hauling, and more.
